Computer Requirement Information for

Class of 2012

We are very proud to welcome you all to the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Starting with the Class of 2010, all medical students will be required to own a laptop computer and bring it to class on a regular basis.

Students are required to have a computer meeting at least the minimum specifications detailed below. The College of Medicine has configured a computer system which meets, if not exceeds, these minimum specifications. High-Speed Internet Access for Incoming Students

The College of Medicine highly recommends that students who live where DSL or Cable Modem Internet access is available acquire this high-speed internet service at your home. This is vital for viewing the educational website and materials, checking e-mail, connecting with the Health Sciences Library, and acquiring information via the web. The College of Medicine discourages the use of AOL as an Internet service provider because of incompatibilities with our online systems.
