Memo regarding UA NetID Password Policy
|
On January 25, 2008, the University of Arizona initiated a policy change for using passwords to gain access to services that require the use of the UA NetID. This policy change is necessary to comply with security standards set by the University of Arizona Information Security Office.
This semester, all University members will be required to change their NetID password, on a rolling schedule beginning February 11, 2008. You will receive a notification two weeks prior to when your password must be changed.

Help changing Outlook Password
|
Passwords will need to be changed on a rolling schedule based upon the strength of the password. Your new password will be rated for its strength, and will be good from 45 days up to a year, depending upon how strong the new password is. All passwords must be changed by the end of the Spring 2008 semester. You can avoid forced expiration by changing your password anytime after January 26, 2008.
Please remember, any application that requires the use of your UA NetID will also be affected. You must also reflect the new password within these programs for them to function correctly. For all College of Medicine Administrative units, this requires updating your NetID password within Microsoft Outlook or other acceptable e-mail programs.
